Deep Down на PlayStation Japan Press Conference

Подробности Deep Down

Deep Down.

Deep Down была анонсирована компанией Capcom на конференции PlayStation Meeting 2013, которая состоялась в феврале. Игра создается на новом движке с кодовым названием Pantha Rhei, возможности которого были продемонстрированы 9 сентября на PlayStation Japan Press Conference.

    PlayStation State of Play

PS Meeting over, PS Conf Japan over, PS4 Pro announced, where is Deep Down?

    PLASTICA-MAN

Greetings. Back when the first PS4 Neo rumours surfaced, there were some games rumoured to showcase its power and one of them was Deep Down. Now that PlayStation Meeting happened where they unveiled its release date, and today PlayStation Press Conference in Japan took place, the game wasn’t present in any event.

What really happened to this exclusive? I hope it didn’t fall «deep down» to the abyss of cancellation.

What till PSX, then E3 2017 and so on.

or it’s an NX exclusive now.

I don’t get it. Osiris info was legit. Everything he stated turned out to be accurate. He always said it was two versions on the table, obviously we know which one Sony went with.

He said Deep Down was was still in development (he thought it was dead too) so at the very least they used a demo or something of the game to show off.

I don’t know of many cases where developers don’t come outright after a while and say a game is canceled, really what’s the point in not?

If Capcom says it’s still in development.

Really I just don’t get it. just wait.

Why do we have to know status updates of companies work flow just because they create products.

Sony Tokyo Game Show Press Conference

    snickothemule

Ya’ver drink Brazilian bold from fkn dunkn donuts!

It is that time, time for some more press conferences and Sony have put up a show, and created a bit of confusion.

New Sony product PS Vita TV lets you play Vita games on your television.

Andrew House took the stage at a pre-TGS press conference this morning in Japan to show off this new pocket-sized system. This 6cm x 10cm device will allow your TV to access Hulu and other like services, watch PS Store videos/movies, tweet, email, and much more.

And as the name suggests, the PS Vita TV will let you play Vita games on your television, as well as downloadable PSP and PSOne games. There’s even multiplayer support for Vita games. Just keep in mind that Vita games that need touchscreen action won’t work with this system.

Amazingly, it’s also a companion device for the PS4. Via remote play it will allow you to play PS4 games from another room, for example.

In Japan it will be released for 9,480 yen (about $95) this November 15. A bundle with an 8GB memory card and Dual Shock 3 controller will also be released, priced at about $150.

The PS Vita TV is tiny — just big enough for its LAN, USB, and HDMI ports (yes, it comes with a HDMI cable) on the back edge. And aside from a card slot, that’s about it. On the wireless side, expect WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Video resolution tops out at 1080i, with 720p and 480p being options.

Hrm, have to use a DualShock 3 controller, base unit costs the same as the goofy Ouya (sans controller), requires special memory and games that require touch controls will not work. It looks like its meant to be a cheap unit designed for streaming, that could be good, but they really need to address the memory issues. It’s 2013 and it shouldn’t be too expensive to put more than meager memory in the thing. Hmmm, I’m interested in this thing, only if it becomes a piece of tech that bombs and no one owns.

    PS Vita Slim PCH-2000

Announced in Japan at a Sony press conference this morning, the new PCH-2000 Vita model comes in six colors — Black, White, Green/White, Light blue/White, Pink/Black, and Khaki/Black. The sleek new design is 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter. A New LCD improves on the quality they’ve been able to obtain with the tech prior, but it’s not that sexy OLED screen from the first Vita.

A 1GB memory card is built in. Battery life has been expanded to go up to six hours of play now, and it can be charged via micro USB.

Sony says that this new Vita was developed to be more casual and friendly than its predecessor. It has been trimmed down and rounded for ease of holding. There are new power and notification indicators, too.

This new Vita will be priced at 18,980 yen, set to launch on October 10 in Japan.

We’ll get a better look at this model next week at Tokyo Game Show 2013.

In related news, a new Vita memory card was also announced. It’s a 64GB card, and will cost about $100.

Direct conversion that’s $190US. the LCD screen won’t look as good as the OLED, but it will live longer. The built in 1gb memory card is laughable ( REALLY!) and should be much larger to really rain home value, but the approach for a lighter unit with longer battery usage is pretty good. JUST GIVE GAEMS TO PLAY SANY!

Japan PS4 to come February 22, 2014. Well after western launch.

PlayStation Japan Confirms Press Conference Will Reveal PS5 Specs (Then Deletes Tweet)

Sony’s press conference will likely follow the content that was laid out in the original GDC plan.

    • by Chris Littlechild
    • Mar 17, 2020

Well, it looks as though Sony is finally going to lift the lid on the sweet, sweet tech that PS5 has under that glossy shell. Or will it? Maybe someone over on Twitter got a little overexcited again.

Now, in these uncertain times, it can be hard to know who to trust. The media has a way of taking a molehill and making several dozen Chrysler Buildings stacked on top of each other out of it. Everyone has their own spin on things, conflicting agendas and opinions. Can we turn to our beloved gaming industry for a little clarity? Well, not really.

Here in the wild world of video games, things move at a breakneck pace. Stories can go from tenuous possibility to viral truth in about four nanoseconds. Retail giants can display listings for possible ports on their websites, and they’re taken as truth before anyone can step in, burst the bubble and clarify that such-and-such a title isn’t being released on such-and-such a system after all (regardless of that one retailer’s claims).

That’s just the price we pay for our modern, online-centric world: everything instantly finds its way around the world, whether it’s accurate or not. Even if it’s swiftly deleted when the error is realized, somebody somewhere has a screenshot. They always do. Today’s little blunder was made by Sony of Japan themselves, who don’t appear to have been ready to reveal the PS5 specs after all.

As PSU reports, Sony’s deep dive into their much-anticipated Holiday 2020 console was scheduled for March 18, 9.00am PST. With Microsoft already having done something similar for their own upcoming system, it was just a matter of time. Sadly, though, it looks like someone might have pulled that particular trigger a little too early. The tweet was quickly retracted, as you can see:

PlayStation Japan confirms that tomorrow’s PS5 presentation contains content that was originally intended for GDC (and is English only) https://t.co/gS190HaUVh

That wasn’t the end of the intrigue, though, as shortly afterwards:

What does this mean for the conference, then? Is it going to be a little less enlightening than fans may have hoped? Is it going to follow the content that was laid out in the original GDC plan, or will be it more informative? Hang tight, PlayStation faithful. We don’t have long to wait to find out. As we’ve said before, though, it’s definitely best to brace yourself for a potential delay announcement.

A new PlayStation 4 tech demo for the Panta Rhei Engine is now available, and it’s a pyromaniac’s dream. The engine will power Capcom’s Deep Down, and shows the wide variety of incredibly realistic flames that will probably kill you quite a lot.

Deep Down is not a sequel to Dragon’s Dogma

Deep Down: Ono explains why Capcom is making a new IP for PS4

During Sony’s PS4 announcement last week, Yoshinori Ono took to the stage and presented a trailer for Capcom’s debut game on the platform, a rather-lovely looking project codenamed ‘Deep Down’. Ono has now explained why Capcom has focused on a new IP for PS4, rather than making a next-gen sequel.

Sony E3 2018 PS4 Press Conference: All The Announcements In One Place

The Last of Us Part 2

Sony suffers from the burden of high expectations, as for almost every year in the PS4’s lifecycle, they have put on one of the most buzzed-about shows of the conference.

We’ll see if that changes tonight. Microsoft and Bethesda have both had fairly solid press events themselves (EA and Ubisoft less so, and Square Enix’s didn’t need to exist at all), and Sony wants to impress before Nintendo knocks everyone’s sock off with Smash Bros. Switch and Let’s Go Pokémon among other titles tomorrow.

You can watch tonight’s Sony PS4 livestream right here, and I do hope you’ll follow along with my liveblog below. Anticipated returns to announced exclusives include The Last of Us Part 2, Spider-man and Final Fantasy VII. Hopefuls are Bloodborne 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn 2. And we’ll see a good amount of third party stuff as well. Black Ops 4, Destiny 2, Death Stranding, probably Red Dead 2.

It should be a solid show, as ever, and it starts at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. Check back here around then when I will be starting my liveblog below, and please refresh the page frequently so that you can see the newest updates, videos and photos up top. I’ll do my best to try and keep up with the flow of news.

10:11 — They are rolling old clips so. I think that’s it? Extremely short show which also had an intermissions and. almost no actual reveals. This was extremely un-Sony-like. I mean the good news is that what was shown looked amazing, but pretty much no surprises other than maybe RE2, which isn’t even their game. Very strange. Anyway, thanks for reading along!

‘WWE 2K20’ Review: The Good, The Bad, The Bottom Line

    SPIDER-MAN

10:04 — We are moving on to Spider-man, which may be the only game shown here actually coming out this fall. Glad to have an extended gameplay look here. I really think this will be great. Maybe not Arkham Asylum great, but solid. This is the only time little lines over your head to indicate danger in combat actually makes sense (Spidey sense!). The web-swinging in this looks incredible. The plot of this appears to be someone is making super-suits for all Spider-man’s villains. I think the rule at the Sony show this year was «you must show gameplay in order to appear.»

    NIOH 2

10:03 — I always get Ninja Theory and Team Ninja mixed up. This is Team Ninja now with. Nioh 2. Erik Kain would tell you to play the original. I’m not sure another living person is going to appear on this stage until someone comes out to close.

    DEATH STRANDING

9:55 — Now it’s time for a new Death Stranding trailer and what appears to be actual gameplay for the first time. So far it’s a lot of Norman Reedus walking around with very heavy backpacks on. There was a full body in one. Now we’ve moved into a scene where Reedus and a woman are being stalked by an invisible handprint monster. So far this is less weird that past trailers. Reedus has spoken more lines here than he has in the last two seasons of The Walking Dead. Alright I’m pretty sure the fetus powers a ghost detector. Only taken me three years to figure that out.

    TROVER SAVES THE UNIVERSE

9:50 — Trover Saves the Universe from Rick and Morty’s Justin Roiland. And now yet ANOTHER Kingdom Hearts trailer, which is the third in two days. At least this is a new one. Ugh why is Jack Sparrow in this. I mean I know why, but still. Man Kingdom Hearts is just not for me. I’ve never understood the appeal of this series and its absolutely insane storylines.

    RESIDENT EVIL 2

9:47 — Time for a new Resident Evil, building on the success of the last revamp. Chris Redfield is back baby. And he’s back January 25, 2019, so VERY soon.

    CONTROL

9:45 — Time for some new IP unless this is Quantum Break 2. Which it is not. It’s called Control and coming out in 2019. Looks like you play a woman with telekinetic powers but also who is really good at shooting guns. Neat trailer.

    GHOST OF TSUSHIMA

    9:43 — Beautiful:

    Ghost of Tsushima

9:34 — Now we are back to the «real» show, which is Sucker Punch’s samurai game, I believe. This looks rather gorgeous, I have to say. Slo-mo samurai combat looks amazing in this.

    DESTINY 2/BLACK OPS 4

9:31 — Uhhhh Destiny 2 just showed Prince Uldren flat out murdering Cayde-6 in the biggest Destiny plot development ever. And it’s a teaser trailer. What on earth.

9:25 — Wow this is a real long break. They are now showing Black Ops 4 stuff during intermission. This is so weird. And now here’s a PSVR montage. I can’t imagine Sony is going to do this again. Total buzz kill for those watching with a break this long, and also presumably the press shuffling around between locations.

THE LAST OF US PART 2

    9:21 — Here’s the footage they showed:

9:19 — Wait they’re literally doing an intermission after one game. I guess they’re moving people out of the church? Is there a location for every game? This is a huge departure for Sony at E3. Now they’re interviewing Shawn Layden about TLOU2.

9:14 — The enemies are referring to Ellie as a «wolf,» which should interest some Walking Dead fans. Ellie uses a woman as a human shield to block an arrow. This is all soooo smooth. Rehearsed, sure, but wow. Ellie rips an arrow out of a dead body and literally places it in her quiver. Doesn’t just magically pop into her inventory. Ellie’s dodging mechanics look amazing. Pretty stunning demo all around, much as the first one was when it first debuted.

The Last of Us Part 2

9:08 — This explains the church. This scene in The Last of Us Part 2 is taking place in the exact same space. Reference to Ellie’s «old man» implying Joel is alive, at least for now. Ellie appears to have a girlfriend. Transition from a sweet kiss into a brutal murder because of course. They’re showing actual gameplay now. Ellie has a bow and a pistol, no companion as of yet. Like four brutal murders already in about two minutes. Absolutely no game does cinematic combat as good as this.

9:04 — Gustavo Santaolalla is here to presumably intro The Last of Us Part 2. Someone just yelled «Freebird» at him as he plays and that person needs to be kicked out. The shooting of this looks like someone filming a middle school play. Not Sony’s finest production value hour so far. Supposedly everyone sitting at this event can’t see anything because there’s no stadium seating despite hundreds of people being on the floor.

9:02 — Trading a «bombardment of new creative» with deeper discussion of games we’ve already seen. So uhhh the opposite of Microsoft’s 15 world premieres then? Still, this can mean longer looks at Last of Us 2, Red Dead, Death Stranding, etc. This is a really weird intro.

9:01 — This is definitely going to make some religious people mad no matter what happens next. Shawn Layden just made a really good Kingsman joke. Strangest setting for an E3 show I’ve seen, and Bethesda did a straight-up carnival last year.

8:59 — Stream is live with some sort of very strange «warm up» screen with a bunch of instrument-playing critters. Not quite sure what to make of this but okay then.

8:53 — So at least some part of the PlayStation event is in some sort of makeshift, freestanding church? Genuinely can’t even imagine what specifically that is meant to be teasing, though perhaps it’s more of a «theme» thing if they have a choir and a. games sermon? Alright I have no idea.
